THE UNUSUAL CONVERSION

In 1930 Donato Manduzio, a self-taught farmer and wounded First World War veteran, began to dedicate himself to studying Scriptures. A group followed him in this search. Manduzio made contact with the Jewish Community in Rome, which took an interest in the group, guiding them towards conversion This was officially celebrated in 1946. Almost all the San Nicandro new Jews settled in Israel between 1948 and 1949.
